Sensor

For example, a mercury-in-glass thermometer converts the measured temperature into expansion and contraction of a liquid which can be read on a calibrated glass tube. Summary:

TSX08PRGCAB (also known as TSXPCX1031) is the programming cable which is provide connection and the RS485 signal converter through the RS232 serial interface. The power of the cable is from the TER port of the PLC. TSX08PRGCAB can be used for Modicon TSX Series PLC of Schneider and PC or other equipment which provide the traditional RS232 serial port communications. The cable can communicate with TER interface of TSX Premium (57), TSX Micro (37), TSX Nano (07), TSX Naza (08) Twido PLC, and to realize the procedures to upload, download, surveillance and other function such as multi-point communication of MODBUS.

Since the AUX port of the PLC have no power output pins, TSX08PRGCAB can not use this port.

The snap switch located on the TSX08PRGCAB programming cable are used to choose a different mode of operation. The cable rejected the way which the transceivers of the RS485 is controlled by the PLC, and all the data transceivers is automatic controlled. It can be used for multi-point and point-to-point communications applications.

TER ports of the TSX Series PLC have a DPT signal pin, which is used to determine the work methods of the terminal TER. If the DPT for high-level, TER always work in the Uni-Telway Master (main station) mode, so the PLC programming in the corresponding way. If the DPT for low-level, the work methods of TER decide by the PLC.

Usage:

TSX08PRG connect with computer and communicate with Schneider PLC need to install Uni-Telway or MODBUS driver to at first, for using the corresponding various PLC programming software, to realize the operations as upload, download, control and communications. These drivers are usually included in the programming software on CD-ROM And for the specific installation steps, please refer to the instruction files on the CD-ROM drivers, and details are not necessarily listed here.

After the installation, icons will appear on the control panel of WINDOWS as follow:

Double-click on the icon, then achieve the settings, XWAY Test, MODBUS Test communications test of the RS232 serial (COM slogan) which is connected with TSX08PRGCAB cables. Then the programming software can be used to complete the normal communication with the PLC.

Long-distance communications:

The largest communications range between the TSX08PRGCAB and PLC are up to two kilometers (9600 bps),when external plus terminals an 120 ohm resistance and a 5 VDC power on the RS485 ports (8 pin Mini DIN Male) of the cable. And a FSACC01 Isolators Box (Schneider's model: TSXPACC01) is need to install at the end of PLC. 0.5 mm2 unshielded twisted pair lines are used for Communications.

When the distance is over 2,000m, a RS485 repeaters (model: E485GP), can be installed in the bus for extending the distance for 2,000 meters.

Overview:

TSXCUSB485C is a multi-functional programmable cable which is provides serial connection and RS485 signal conversion through the USB interface, whose power from the USB port, no longer need power by the PLC’ s TER port. Therefore, this cable can communicate with PLC’ s TER or HIM or AUX port. TSXCUSB485C can be used for Schneider Modicon TSX series PLC or HMI to communicate with the computer. It can also be directly connected to the computer communicate with Premium, Micro, Nano, Naza, Twido and series of PLC, or connected to the computer to communicate with OTB, XBTN/R/S and TSXSCA62 after changing the different adapter cables.

TSXCUSB485C programmable cable is the upgraded product of TSXPCX3030.

The snap switch located on the TSXCUSB485C’s converter box is used to choose different operating modes. The cable rejects the way which the transceiving of the RS485 is controlled by the PLC, and all the data transceiving is automatically controlled. It can be used for multi-point and communication applications.

The TER port of Schneider TSX series PLC has a PMC (mode control) signal pin, which is used to determine its working mode. If the PMC is high level, TER port always works in Uni-Telway Master (master station) mode, should be used this mode for PLC programming. If the PMC is low level, the working mode of TER port is decided by the PLC. General way from the station mode.

Product configuration:

This product includes TSXCUSB485C adapter and TSXCRJMD25 adapter cable which can be directly connected to PLC. By choosing different adapter cables then can connected to the touch panel etc for communication. These cables are straight-through cables. Users can self-refer to the relevant wiring diagram.

Note: RJ45 socket 6-pin RS485 drive defined Schneider enabled control signal NDE (input). As TSXCUSB485C using automatic data flow control, there is no need to use the control signal it.

Software settings of STEP7:
Entering the main interface of STEP7 programming software(SIMATIC Manager), clicking on “Options” menu under the “Set PG/PC Interface…” option into the PG/PC interface settings.
1. Double clicking on “PC Adapter(MPI)” into the RS232 interfaces and MPI set of parameters. The adapter does not support “PC Adapter(PROFIBUS)” option.
2. Clicking on “Local Connection” option set RS232 interface parameters, choosing PC/MPI to connect on the port of COM correctly, and it will adapt to the chosen baud rate automatically, both 19200bps and 38400bps of RS232 communication.
3. Clicking “MPI” to set port parameters of adapter MPI, acceptable at both 187.5Kbps and 19.2Kbps, and the adapter will adapt to its baud rate automatically. Others have already been set.
4. On-line test accessing point: Using PC/MPI to connect to MPI port and RS232 port of the computer. And then click on the button in the red circle as follow, if appearing the data inside the red line, the test has passed. Then one could operate on it.
